Delivering More Parks & Open Space

Lincoln_Park_1.jpgTom DeGise’s signature achievement as County Executive—the Hudson County Open Space Trust—has supported the construction of desperately needed new parks in Bayonne (Rutkowski Park), Hoboken (1600 Park), and North Hudson (Waterfront Park). Next year the new $25 million Berry Lane Park on 17 acres in Jersey City’s Bergen Lafayette neighborhood will open—supported with $5.4 million from the Open Space Trust.

Overall, the Open Space Trust has funded 116 different park improvement projects totaling $44.9 million in the first seven years of its operation. Better parks are good for kids, families and all of our home values.
